Job: Field Service Technician or Engineer

Our client, a leading provider of the ultimate high-definition theater experience, for planetariums, museums, educational exhibits and development of custom products and automation systems, located in Nashua, NH is seeking a Field Service Technician or Engineer to install and repair complex multimedia systems in domed theaters worldwide.

This position requires someone with a diverse set of skills; who is capable of multi-tasking, setting priorities and scheduling work activities to successfully complete project assignments. Must be a self-starter, who is able to travel extensively and work, both independently (with minimal supervision) and as part of a team.

Basic requirements for this position include:

* One to three years experience in the AV Industry or a recent college graduate with an interest/focus on appropriate technical disciplines.
* The ability to learn quickly, troubleshoot, think analytically and communicate professionally in high pressure, fast-paced, time sensitive, customer environments.
* Excellent interpersonal communication and customer relationship skills, including the ability to provide feedback concerning product questions, workflow issues and performance anomalies encountered in the field, make recommendations for improvements and provide follow-up with customers and management as well as write progress reports.
* Solid IT/networking skills, including the ability to install computers and run cables.
* General Windows software knowledge.
* Strong math skills (geometry, algebra, trigonometry).
* Some knowledge of electrical, mechanical, carpentry and masonry.
* Ability to read schematics/block diagrams
* Must have good hearing, good eyesight (correctable) and ability to discern colors, reasonable strength and agility.
* Some heavy lifting and scaffold climbing at heights is required
* Associates or Bachelor’s degree in any engineering/technical discipline.
* A valid US passport or the ability to obtain one is required.

Experience with video projection, and/or audio system experience and/or foreign language skills are highly desired.

This position will require 70 – 90% travel (domestic and international), including some weekend and night work and will include on-the-job training.
