Human Resources:

 

Recruiting, Retention & Employee Relations 

Meet with managers to develop job descriptions, evaluate current and future projected needs, and assign and/or hire new staff to cover the new company direction.

 

Interview, assess skill levels and verify references for all levels from entry through senior management in a variety of areas.  Examples include (but are not limited to):

·        Accounting/Finance

·        IT and Software Engineering

·        Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Biotech, Chemical Engineering

·        Operations Management

·        Marketing/Sales

Coordinate and staff college career fairs and maintain on-going relationships with key colleges.

 

Process required documentation to obtain and retain interns/co-ops, including review process for grading.

 

Act as liaison with Immigration Attorney for H1B Visas and Green Card applications.

 

Team with management on employee relations/retention programs including merit reviews and disciplinary actions.

 

Assist management with the review process, termination procedures and perform exit interviews.

 

Provide consultation to employees regarding grievances and complaints.

 

Conduct employee surveys and presented findings and recommendations to senior management.

 

Policies & Procedures

Develop new or edit and recommend revisions to employee manual to update document and target specific areas of concern.

 

 

Benefits Analysis & Administration

Analyze benefits packages for new health and dental programs and administer programs, including COBRA.

 

Enroll company in employee perk programs and brainstorm with senior management for low or no cost morale boosters.

 

Company Relocation

 

General

Answer general human resources and employee relations questions including compliance with Federal and State laws.

 

Provide support for a variety of large projects such as audits and open enrollment.

 

Plan and conduct new hire and benefits orientation.

Operations Management:

 

Research & Recommendations

Research, develop, recommend and implement processes and procedures to improve workflow, productivity and provide savings to the company.

 

Based on company specific needs and requirements, research and recommend:  options including telephone systems, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment.

 

Evaluate, recommend and implement systems and software for: project scheduling, human resources, customer relationship management, facilities and travel reservations.

 

Review, research and obtain quotes for corporate insurances.

 

Process Improvements

 

Improve daily operating procedures and develop and implement internal cost control procedures.

 

Recommend, develop and implement new order fulfillment process to improve work flow and tracking capability.

 

Analyze annual sales trends by territory, industry and customer segments to provide direction and focus for the sales department.

Assist with traffic management

Compliance with international shipping regulations

Interaction with Customs and freight forwarders

 

Provide company relocation assistance:

Negotiate leasing arrangements

Contract Review & Negotiation

 

Advise management in the areas of contracts for import/export, administration, telecommunications, logistics, facilities, transportation, and warehousing.

 

Assist with negotiation and finalization of contracts for special purchasing and leasing arrangements for capital equipment, software, source code, manufacturing supplies, and extensive services, resulting in savings over previous arrangements
